Ban Request Guide (Please read first)

Is there someone on our servers that is using hacks, mic/chat spamming, racist, or generally just being rude? Well we would love to hear about it and solve the issue as best as we can.

Key information:

All ban requests must have a demo. (Youtube and other video sharing is not accepted.)

In the demo you must execute the "status" command at least once and in the post provide there Steam_ID.

You must provide Information on the time, date, and server that you were on.

Failing to do one of the three above will cause the ban request to become "VOID" which means nothing will be done with it!

Console:
The console is what you will use to initiate the demo and execute commands. The console is build into valve games, but you might need to enable it. The following steps will show you how to enable the console. If you have already done this you can skip this step.

1. Start TF2 or other valve game.
2. Once at the Main Menu, click options.
3. Select the keyboard tab.
4. Under the keyboard tab there should be an Advance option, select it.
5. Place a check mark in the "Enable developer console" and click apply/ok.
6. Pat your self on the back for a job well done.

Start recording a Demo:
This step will be used to make a (Video) that is used by the source engine, This video will make it so that we here at (G-S.N) can see what you see and address the issue accordingly. We don't accept other video formats at they can be easily tampered with resulting in false positives. Here are the steps.

1. Connect to the server if you already haven't.
2. Press the "~" (Tilde) button.
3. A console window should appear, If not you may need to redo the "console" section above.
4. In the chat filed type. "record DemoName" and press the Enter key.
5. The console should then tell you that it started recording, if not try again.
6. After that please type in "status" into the same field and press the Enter key.
7. You should then see a list of all users currently on the server with there steam_ids.
8. Next spectate the player that is causing the issue until you catch them breaking the rules.
9. Once again open the console with "~" and type "stop" and press the Enter key to stop recording the demo.
10. Good job!
11. Now it is time for us to go get that demo, Go to: your steam folder on your computer. Usually: "C:\Programs(x86)\Steam\..." Then go to "..\steamapps\"initial account name"\team fortress 2\tf\..." The file should be named what ever you put in for DemoName and followed by ".dem".
12. Upload this to your favorite media sharing service such as mediafire.com.

Making The Post:
Now it is time to make a post on our forums.

1. Login to our forums if you already haven't.
